Code of Conduct and Gameplay Regulations

These guidelines are established to ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable Airsoft experience for all members. All participants are expected to understand and adhere to these regulations.

I. Membership and Participation

  • Waiver Agreement: All players must complete a waiver form and agree to the club’s rules before participating in any activities.
  • Minor Participation: Players under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the waiver on their behalf.

II. Equipment Standards and Safety

  • Velocity Limits: All Airsoft replicas must chronograph at less than 365 fps with .20g BBs (288 fps with .32g BBs).
  • Ammunition: Only BBs from .20g to .32g are permitted.
  • Chronographing Protocol: Chronographing will be conducted using the player’s own magazine. The club will provide BBs for this purpose.
  • HPA Systems: HPA systems are permitted during specific events. Users must be able to lock their PSI output on their tanks or regulators.
  • Mandatory Equipment:
    • Full-seal eye protection is mandatory.
    • Full-face protection is required for players under 18; cloth or mesh masks are acceptable but not recommended.
    • A dead rag or large red cloth is required to signify being hit.
  • Recommended Equipment (Low Light Games): Red dead lights are recommended.

III. Staging Area Regulations

  • Respect for Others: Be respectful of other players and the staging area. Do not touch another player’s gear or property without permission.
  • Firing Airsoft weapons: Firing your airsoft weapon is strictly forbidden in staging areas and parking lots. These spaces are for rest, equipment adjustments, and pre/post-game activities. Never point your replica at someone outside of gameplay.
  • Personal Responsibility: The club is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
  • Private Transactions: The club is not responsible for private party sales or trades that occur on club premises.
  • Conduct: No running or horseplay in the staging area. Cursing and inappropriate language are not tolerated.
  • Cleanliness: Keep the area clean by properly disposing of trash.
  • Substance Restrictions: No smoking is allowed anywhere within staging, on the field, or around entryways. Please use designated outside areas.
  • Transporting: Gun cases and bags should be used while transporting your replica.

IV. On-Field Procedures

  • Entering the Play Area: Eye protection must be on before entering the field and must not be removed for any reason while on the field. If there is a problem with eye protection (e.g., fog), exit the field before removing it.
  • Weapon Preparation: Magazines may be inserted once gameplay has begun. Air hoses can be connected at this time.
  • Hit Indication: Players must use a dead rag or red light to signal when they are hit.
  • Exiting the Play Area:
    • Remove magazines from all replicas, including pistols.
    • HPA users must disconnect air hoses.
    • Clear replicas by firing in a safe direction.
    • Holster pistols before exiting.

V. Gameplay Rules and Conduct

  • Hit Calling: All players must call “HIT!” and raise their hand when hit. No talking or revealing positions when hit. Ricochets and gun hits do not count. Hit players may call for a medic or cease-fire if needed. Do not confront or call out other players’ hits. Bring grievances to a staff member. “Playing dead” is prohibited.
  • Blind Firing: Blind firing is not allowed. Players must be able to see down their sights. Firing around corners or over obstacles without a clear line of sight is considered blind firing.
  • Cover and Positioning: Players may not use hit players as cover. If hit and in the way, move to a safe location.
  • Spawn Rules: Do not spawn camp. Spawn sweeping is permitted. Do not shoot into enemy spawns or shoot players in their spawn.
  • Terrain and Structures: Do not move barriers or props without staff approval. Do not deliberately damage obstacles. Do not kick doors or hold them shut.
  • Minimum Engagement: If you are closer than the designated minimum engagement distance (e.g., 10 feet for pistols, 20 feet for rifles), you must shout “Bang!” instead of shooting. The “hit” player must then call themselves out. This prevents point-blank injuries.
  • Melee Combat: Melee is allowed with approved rubber or plastic weapons less than 10 inches long. No stabbing, lunging, or throwing. Tap, don’t swing. Call melee hits silently.
  • Grenades: If a grenade goes off in a room, all players inside are hit. Grenades cannot hit players behind hard cover or without a line of sight. 10-foot kill radius. Shrapnel hits count. All grenades must be approved in advance.

VI. Disciplinary Actions

  • Violation Consequences:
    • First violation: Sit out one game.
    • Second violation: Sit out two games.
    • Third violation: Dismissal for the day.
    • Fourth violation: Ban from the club.
  • Violence: Physical violence results in an immediate ban.
  • Staff Authority: All staff decisions are final.
  • Drugs & Alcohol: No illegal drugs or alcohol will be tolerated.

VII. Dispute Resolution

  • Reporting Issues: If a player has an issue with another player, they should report it to a staff member.
  • Staff Intervention: Staff will address the issue, issue warnings, and take appropriate action.
  • Staff Authority: Only staff members may take action against a player for violations.
